Partners
The initiative is meant to be “open”, “inclusive”, and very open source. However, at the moment, we are starting small, ironing out all the specific ‘behind the scene’ details to make this an excellent product and a scalable model.
As it gets more and more popular, which it will, we are hoping that this will move into other countries in South Asia and spread even more than just that. In this section you find short introductions of the partners involved in this initiative. You will of course find more information when you visit their individual websites!
Grass Routes Journeys – Eastern India

Grass Routes fosters positive and effective communication to bridge boundaries and open up possibilities.
The Blue Yonder – South India
The Blue Yonder (TBY) is an Indian based travel company that promotes responsible tourism (RT) and creates alternate ‘destinations’ and ‘products’ to provide experiential holidays for its guests. TBY was established as a private limited company in February 2007 although its conceptual origins go back to 2004 when the current promoter, Mr. Gopinath Parayil, set up Nila Foundation to raise funds for the revival of the dying river Nila in Kerala.
socialtours.com Travels – Nepal
One of the leaders in responsible travel in Nepal, socialtours.com started this initiative. It was started in 2002, developing using CSR as the engine behind it running from scratch, and since then, has notched up three Responsible Travel Award nominations, a TravelMole Web Asia Awards nomination, and is even working on its own developed custom responsible tourism audit. The company believes in people and has the determination to provide the most professional service and deliver excellent products and yet be socially and environmentally responsible.
